在液压传动系统所用的各种油泵、控制元件和执行元件中,相对运动件之间都有很好的配合表面,其配合间隙都很小。工作液中如果混入污物被带进这些配合问隙,就会划伤配合表面,破坏配合表面的精度和光洁度,使泄漏增加,甚至会使相对运动件之间卡住,例如阀芯在阀体内卡住,造成液压元件的动作失灵.工作液中混入的污物还可能堵塞液压元件中的阻尼孔和缝障式控制阀口,使液压元件不能正常工作,产生噪音和振动. 工作液中的污物还会使工作液变质,失去原有的性能。此外,水分进入液压系统也是有害的,。因为水分混入工作液中会使工作液产生乳化现象,降低其润滑性能。增加其酸值,使工作液变质.因而缩短工作液、油泵、控制元件等的使用寿命,并使泄漏增加.。
